Elective admissions are usually on the day of surgery to the Day of Surgery Admissions Unit (DOSA). You will be taken to the Vascular Ward or to the Dedicated Day Unit after your elective treatment. Emergency admissions are taken straight to the Vascular Ward. The Vascular Ward (Ward 10) is a newly build ward dedicated to the care of Cardiac and Vascular patients. Facilities include 10 higher level of care beds for patients recovering from major surgery as well as tbeds for recovery from routine surgery. Images of the new ward are available here.
